The Quaker State Best In Class Challenge is a competition given to high school students throughout the nation to rennovate a car that has been donated to them. Their challenge is to fix up the car and style it in any way they see fit. The top three finalists are then invited to auction their cars off at the renowned Mecum Auctions.

I was called to see if I could film the Mecum Auction taking place in Austin, TX, following the top three schools in the Quaker State: Best In Class Challenge. The weekend started off with a dinner celebration, followed the next day as the students prepared to show off their cars to prospective buyers. All three cars ended up being purchased for over $6,000 each.
